A la reunión, que arranca este lunes en Nairobi (Kenia) y se prolongará durante cinco días, asistirán cuatro Jefes de Estado, más de 40 ministros, representantes de alto nivel de 116 países y más de 3.000 delegados. Se espera que la Asamblea establezca la Junta Ejecutiva de ONU-Hábitat y elija a sus miembros para revisar y aprobar el Plan Estratégico 2020-2025 de ONU-Hábitat y también para repasar el Progreso en la implementación de la Nueva Agenda Urbana, entre otras cosas.
